The 2026 WDPI Conference is an International Conference recognized by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Delegates who require a visa or travel authorization to enter Canada to attend the conference can request for a Letter of Invitation through the process below. The conference will not provide letters of invitation to One-day registrants and workshop only registrants. To find out if you need a visa to travel to Canada, click here.

  • Step 1: Register and pay for the conference through the website here: Registration – WDPI 2026.
  • Step 2: You can now contact us to request for a Letter of Invitation. You will need to provide us with your full names as they appear on your travel document and your passport country of issuance. Our office will send you a Letter of Invitation with the special event code for this meeting, which you can use to complete your visa application.
  • Step 3: Begin your temporary resident visa application process through the Canadian Immigration and Citizenship webpage here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application.html. Submit your visa application to IRCC and upload a copy of the letter of invitation to support your visa.
  • Step 4: Send us your visa application number so that we can confirm you as an international delegate at the conference. The visa application number begins with a V and is followed by 9 digits (ex. V123456789). Applicants should receive a copy of their visa application number in their acknowledgement of receipt letter shortly after submitting their visa online. Please ensure you send us your visa application number as soon as possible.

Kindly note that all the information you provide to us will be shared with the IRCC and will be made available to the Canadian Border Officials in accordance with the Privacy Act and BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. [RSBC 1996]. Letters of Invitation will only state the facts (conference title, dates and location); they do not guarantee faster processing times, or entry into Canada.
